Thanks for asking. I have not drawn conclusions. It’s just a curious correlation. Similar correlations concerning troop presence can be drawn historically with Vietnam, Korea, and the Pacific islands. The correlations are facts. Any cause and effect relationships are pure speculation. Obviously, it is all quite complicated.

A couple of questions: In compari Iran and Afghanistan, what do you mean by “Americans in Afghanistan”? Are you suggesting that church growth there is because of the presence of foreign troops? Also, if your theory is correct as to how persecution can contribute to church growth, what specific people groups are expereincing the most rapid growth? I’m not sure this theory will stand up under close scrutiny; rather, larger issues like national suffering, primarily at the hands of fellow-Muslims, is a far greater catalyst. Both of these factors are true in Iran and Afghanistan. It also seems to be true in Algeria.

Bruce : this is not true ok , we live with christians every day , we befriend them and treat them like we treat each other , Islam is about peace not terrorizing people , u didn’t live through wht happened and what we lived through here in Egypt so don’t come and say that u know what happened .
